Description
On Our Way To HYSACAM is the story of a man called Bebey who spent his youthful age in the reformatory due to juvenile delinquency. He escaped from this reform center and went to the city (Douala) hoping to take a good job of his taste there. In the city, he could not have an employment of his choice because everywhere he went, two important questions were asked to him. What is your level of education? What can you do? He had no answer to these questions. Each time these questions were asked to him he knew that his position was not in those places. He took refuge in Makepe neighborhood, a quarter in Douala where the Hysacam junkyard is located. He started working like a scavenger in the Hysacam junkyard; selecting things from the junkyard that can still be useful to others. This is how he lived for the past twenty-five years.
